Admission Requirements
- There are two options for basic graduate admission into the MAE program.
- Option One - Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) calculated over the most recent 30 graded semester (45 quarter) credits completed in either a baccalaureate or post baccalaureate program, including credits earned toward a credential. All credits used for GPA calculation must be from a regionally accredited institution.
- Option Two - Applicants must have a grade point average between 2.75 and 2.99 in at least 30 graded semester credits (45 quarter) in either a baccalaureate or post baccalaureate program including credits toward a credential and submit passing scores from one of the following standard admission tests: Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or State Teacher Examinations (CSET or SSAT).
- Candidates who have successfully completed any of Brandman University's Preliminary Credential programs and have passed the CSET, MSAT, SSAT or PRAXIS examination automatically qualify for admission.
- Submit two letters of recommendation with waiver forms from individuals who are familiar with your academic and professional ability to undertake graduate study.
- Provide a letter of completion in instituion letterhead and/or from the reigistrar's office if you are currently completing a baccalaureate degree from an institution other than Brandman University.
