MAE, Early Childhood Education

Throughout the program, students apply their learning through fieldwork experiences in at least one of the following age groups: birth to three, three to five, and five to eight. Fieldwork must be completed in at least one of the following settings: primary or elementary school, childcare center or home, and Head Start.

  • Curriculum design: Evaluate curriculum design and curricular decisions as they relate to meeting the diverse needs of students
  • Ethics: Analyze issues and make ethical decisions within an educational context
  • Leadership and program quality: Analyze the effectiveness of an ECE program based on NAEYC standards
