MAE, Leadership in ECE Prerequisites
Candidates must have at least one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Childhood Development
- California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (or equivalent)
- Child Development Associate Credentail
- Must have completed EDUU 321, 325, 330 and 465
- Must have completed ECED 300, 301, 302 and EDUU 330

Demonstration of Mastery
Candidates for the Master of Arts in Education degree with an emphasis in Leadership in Early Childhood Education must successfully plan a program evaluation of a local preschool or infant/toddler program. Candidates submit their program evaluations in EDUU 643 and must earn a B or better in the course.
*EDUU 600 is a prerequisite for all other core courses and candidates are advised to follow this structure.
